India’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) fashion space continues to attract strong investor interest as MyDesignation raises Rs 40 crore in a fresh funding round. The investment was led by RPSG Capital Ventures and Veltis Capital, along with participation from other backers. The funding development was reported by The Economic Times.
The latest round marks a significant milestone for the young fashion brand as it strengthens its expansion strategy in an increasingly competitive online apparel market.
Founded in 2020 by husband-wife duo Swaroop Krishnan and Gopika B Raj, MyDesignation has steadily built a reputation for bold, youth-focused fashion. The brand resonates strongly with Gen Z and millennial consumers through relatable designs, expressive graphics, and trend-driven collections.
By operating on a D2C model, MyDesignation has been able to directly engage with customers via its own website and digital platforms. This approach allows the company to maintain stronger margins, gain valuable consumer insights, and build a loyal online community without relying heavily on third-party marketplaces.
Prior to this round, the company had secured $1.25 million in seed funding in February 2025. That early investment helped scale operations, improve backend systems, and expand product offerings.
The newly raised Rs 40 crore is expected to fuel the company’s next stage of growth. Key focus areas are likely to include strengthening supply chain infrastructure, enhancing warehousing and logistics capabilities, and investing in technology to improve customer experience.
Additionally, the brand may expand its offline retail presence to complement its strong digital footprint. As the Indian fashion industry evolves, omnichannel strategies are becoming increasingly important for sustained growth.
With rising competition in the D2C segment, brands that combine strong storytelling, efficient operations, and consistent product innovation are emerging as market leaders. MyDesignation’s strong digital marketing strategy and community-driven branding position it well for long-term scalability.
The investment by RPSG Capital Ventures and Veltis Capital reflects broader investor confidence in India’s consumer startup landscape. As online shopping continues to grow and younger consumers seek unique, homegrown labels, D2C brands are reshaping the retail narrative.
MyDesignation’s funding success underscores the potential of digital-first fashion startups that prioritize brand identity, operational excellence, and customer connection.
