Wearable Tech Startup Sychedelic Raises $3.5 Million to Revolutionize Mental Wellness with AI Headphones

Sychedelic Secures Seed Funding for Global Expansion

Delhi NCR-based wearable technology startup Sychedelic has raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round backed by investors including Cultadvisors LLP, TurboStart, Ideabaaz, and Praveek Ventures, along with several angel investors.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital to expand manufacturing capabilities, strengthen research and development, boost marketing efforts, and support its planned global Kickstarter launch scheduled for 2026.

From Neurofeedback Headbands to AI-Powered Wellness Headphones

Founded in 2020 by Ria Rustagi and Bhavya Madan, the company initially operated under the name Neuphony.

The startup originally focused on EEG-based neurofeedback headbands designed to monitor brain activity and track mental wellness indicators. Over time, the founders pivoted toward building a more accessible and consumer-friendly wearable product under the Sychedelic brand.

Today, Sychedelic is developing advanced AI-powered headphones aimed at improving mental wellness by helping users reduce stress, improve focus, and support better sleep through real-time biometric feedback and neuromodulation technologies.

AI and Neuromodulation at the Core

Sychedelic describes its product as a “closed-loop neuromodulation wearable” designed in the form of everyday headphones.

The device combines biometric tracking, adaptive artificial intelligence, and neurostimulation technologies including transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), binaural beats, and heart rate variability biofeedback.

According to the company, the headphones use photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors ,  a non-invasive optical sensing technology that tracks blood flow changes ,  to monitor stress levels and cognitive states in real time.

Based on this live biometric feedback, the wearable adapts stimulation patterns dynamically to help users manage stress, focus, and mental fatigue more effectively.

The startup claims its technology is among the first wearable systems capable of real-time adaptive stimulation using continuous biometric monitoring.

Expanding in India and International Markets

Over the past six months, more than 100 early users have tested the product, helping the company refine its hardware systems, stimulation technologies, and AI-driven algorithms through real-world feedback.

Sychedelic has also received approval from India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation and has filed global patent applications for its wearable technology platform.

The company currently operates across India and the United States through a Delaware-based entity, supported by international advisors and global marketing teams.

As demand for health-focused smart wearables continues to grow, the Indian wearable technology market is projected to reach $10.26 billion by 2031. Sychedelic aims to position itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and consumer wellness technology.
