Vetic Raises $40 Million to Expand AI-Powered Pet Healthcare Network Across India

Bessemer Venture Partners Leads Fresh Investment to Strengthen India’s Pet Care Ecosystem

Gurugram-based pet healthcare startup Vetic has raised $40 million in a fresh internal funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Greenoaks Capital, Lachy Groom, and JSW Family Office. The latest investment will help the company accelerate its nationwide expansion while strengthening its technology-driven veterinary care platform.

The funding comes as India’s pet healthcare industry continues to witness rapid growth, driven by increasing pet ownership and rising demand for high-quality veterinary services.

Funding to Fuel Nationwide Expansion

Vetic plans to utilize the newly raised capital to expand its network of veterinary clinics across India, increase its team of veterinary professionals, and launch at-home veterinary services nationwide over the next two quarters.

The company will also invest in enhancing its pet insurance offerings, wellness programs, and AI-powered healthcare technology to deliver a more connected and seamless experience for pet owners.

Building an Integrated Pet Healthcare Platform

Founded in 2022 by Gaurav Ajmera, Vetic has built a full-stack pet healthcare ecosystem that combines veterinary clinics, emergency care, pharmacy services, diagnostics, home healthcare, and pet supplies under one platform.

The startup currently operates more than 65 clinics across 11 Indian cities, along with 15 emergency care facilities. Its network includes over 250 veterinarians and serves more than 60,000 subscribed members, making it one of India’s fastest-growing pet healthcare platforms.

By offering end-to-end services, Vetic aims to simplify pet healthcare while ensuring better accessibility and improved medical outcomes for pet families.

AI Driving the Future of Veterinary Care

Technology remains at the core of Vetic’s growth strategy. The company’s proprietary software securely stores digital pet health records and standardizes treatment protocols across all its clinics.

Additionally, Vetic leverages artificial intelligence to assist veterinarians with patient triage, diagnostic support, and personalized healthcare recommendations. These AI-powered capabilities help improve operational efficiency while enabling faster and more accurate clinical decisions.

Founder on Transforming Pet Healthcare

Speaking about the company’s vision, Founder Gaurav Ajmera said that while pet parents expect healthcare standards similar to those available for humans, the existing pet care ecosystem remains fragmented.

He emphasized that Vetic is building a connected healthcare platform where consultations, diagnostics, medicines, insurance, recovery, and wellness services work together to provide comprehensive care. The goal is to ensure pets receive reliable, accessible, and human-grade healthcare throughout their lives.

With fresh capital, expanding infrastructure, and continued investment in AI, Vetic is well-positioned to become a leading player in India’s rapidly evolving pet healthcare industry.
