Indian maternal and baby care startup Promom has secured ₹30 crore in a funding round led by Fireside Ventures, marking a significant milestone in its mission to make high-quality and affordable parenting products accessible to families across the country.
The fresh investment will enable the company to broaden its product portfolio, accelerate innovation, and strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly growing maternal and infant care market.
The funding round was led by Fireside Ventures, a venture capital firm known for backing consumer-focused brands with strong growth potential. The investment reflects increasing confidence in Promom’s vision of addressing the evolving needs of mothers and babies through thoughtfully designed products.
With the new capital, Promom plans to invest in research and product development, expand its maternal and baby care offerings, and improve accessibility by reaching more families across India.
The company aims to build a comprehensive ecosystem of parenting essentials that support families from pregnancy through early childhood.
Promom was founded in 2023 by Anavi Kalia, Manas Tripathi, and Aditya Srivastava. The startup initially focused on solving one of the most common challenges faced by new parents—feeding infants safely and comfortably.
As the founders interacted with customers, they identified a larger gap in India’s maternal and baby care market. While premium international brands often remained expensive for many families, domestic alternatives sometimes struggled to deliver consistent quality and performance.
This realization inspired Promom to develop products that combine premium quality, practical functionality, and affordability specifically for Indian households.
Promom plans to use the fresh funding to introduce new products across multiple maternal and baby care categories. The company’s long-term vision extends beyond feeding solutions to supporting parents throughout pregnancy, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and the early developmental years of children.
According to co-founder Manas Tripathi, the idea for Promom was born from the founders’ own parenting experiences. As first-time parents, they faced difficulties in finding reliable, well-designed products tailored to the needs of Indian families.
He added that the partnership with Fireside Ventures will help accelerate product innovation, strengthen the company’s market presence, and establish Promom as a trusted household brand for millions of parents.
A key differentiator for Promom is its collaborative product development process. The company works closely with mothers, pediatricians, doctors, and lactation consultants to refine its offerings based on real-world parenting challenges and customer feedback.
This research-driven approach enables the startup to create products that are practical, safe, and designed specifically for Indian consumers.
As awareness around maternal wellness and infant healthcare continues to grow, demand for trusted parenting brands is increasing rapidly. With fresh funding, a customer-first approach, and an expanding product portfolio, Promom is well-positioned to become a leading player in India’s maternal and baby care industry.
