Centricity Raises Rs 280 Crore to Scale Wealth Management and Global Expansion

Gurugram-based wealth management startup Centricity has raised Rs 280 crore (approximately $30 million) in a Series A funding round led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund. The latest investment will help the company strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its wealth distribution network and accelerate its private wealth and NRI-focused businesses.

Series A Funding Round

The funding round includes Rs 230 crore in equity and Rs 50 crore in venture debt, giving Centricity a valuation of around Rs 1,800 crore. Existing investors, including Lightspeed India Partners, Burman Family Office, RAAY Investments, Stride Ventures and InnoVen Capital, also participated in the round.

Founder and CEO Manu Awasthy described the investment as an important milestone for the company, reflecting investor confidence in Centricity’s business model and execution.

Strengthening Wealth Management Technology

Founded in 2022 by Manu Awasthy, Gaurav Tiwari, Manish Sharma, Pushpendra Singh and Aditya Shankar, Centricity provides wealth management solutions to financial advisers, family offices and high-net-worth individuals.

The company operates through multiple businesses. One Digital provides financial product distributors with technology and access to investment products, while Invictus Private Wealth focuses on wealthy individuals and family offices. Its Global Private Client business serves non-resident Indian customers.

Centricity offers a broad range of financial products, including mutual funds, insurance, bonds, portfolio management services, alternative investment funds, broking and international investment opportunities.

Expansion Across India and International Markets

Centricity plans to use the fresh capital to expand its wealth distribution network and strengthen its technology platform. The startup is also looking to accelerate its presence in private wealth management and the NRI segment.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company is growing its Global Private Client business through GIFT City and the Dubai International Financial Centre, providing Indian and overseas investment opportunities to its customers.

The company plans to add more than 50 private bankers in India and around 35–40 bankers focused on NRI clients.

Strong Distribution Network

Centricity currently manages more than Rs 16,000 crore in assets and works with over 20,000 partners across more than 66 cities. Its platform serves more than 100,000 investors and over 250 family offices, supported by a workforce of more than 800 employees.

The startup expects its revenue to cross Rs 150 crore in FY27, highlighting its ambitions for continued growth in India’s expanding wealth management market.

Revenue Growth and Previous Funding

Centricity reported operating revenue of Rs 61.26 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 19.02 crore in FY24. However, the company remained loss-making, with its loss increasing to Rs 31.72 crore from Rs 9.31 crore during the same period.

The latest Series A round follows Centricity’s pre-seed funding in 2022 and a seed round in 2024. With fresh institutional backing, the startup is now focused on scaling its technology, distribution network and international wealth management operations.
