Children-focused healthtech startup Lissun has raised Rs 48 crore in a Series A funding round to expand its child development centres across key Indian cities and strengthen its technology-driven healthcare solutions. The funding comes as the startup looks to improve access to specialised developmental care for children with special needs and developmental delays.

Colossa Ventures Leads Series A Round

The funding round was led by Colossa Ventures, with participation from Physis Capital and existing investors including RPSG Capital Ventures, Ivycap Ventures, Rainmatter, Multiply Ventures and SucSEED Ventures.

New investors New Age India Fund and Beyond Capital Ventures also participated in the round, bringing additional institutional backing to Lissun’s expansion plans.

The fresh capital will support the company’s efforts to scale its physical centres, strengthen clinical processes and develop new AI-led solutions using its proprietary technology and data.

Expanding Sunshine by LISSUN

Lissun operates through its child-care brand, Sunshine by LISSUN, which is building a network of child development centres across India.

The centres focus on providing specialised developmental care and bringing together therapists, technology and families to support children with special needs.

With the latest funding, Lissun plans to expand Sunshine by LISSUN centres in key cities, allowing the company to reach more children and families who require specialised care.

AI at the Core of Lissun’s Growth

Technology is a major part of Lissun’s long-term strategy. The startup has developed AI-led platforms and tools designed to support therapists and parents.

According to co-founder and CEO Krishna Veer Singh, the company sees a larger opportunity in developing AI solutions based on its proprietary technology and data. These tools could potentially help Lissun extend its reach beyond its physical centres and serve a much larger population of children across India.

The startup aims to combine technology with professional clinical support to create a scalable model for developmental healthcare.

Lissun co-founder Tarun Gupta said Sunshine by LISSUN aims to create an ecosystem where technology, therapists and people work together to support children with special needs.

The company’s next phase will focus not only on expanding its centre network but also on developing proprietary AI-powered products. This approach could allow Lissun to provide support to more families without relying solely on physical centres.
