BazaarNow Raises ₹72 Crore to Revolutionize Quick Commerce in India’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 Cities

Quick Commerce Startup Secures Fresh Funding to Expand Beyond Metro Markets

Bengaluru-based quick commerce startup BazaarNow has raised ₹72 crore (approximately $7.8 million) in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners to accelerate its expansion across India’s smaller cities and towns. The round also witnessed participation from Whiteboard Capital, Antler, and several prominent angel investors from India’s startup ecosystem.

With the latest investment, BazaarNow aims to strengthen its technology platform, expand its grocery delivery network, and build a localized shopping experience for millions of consumers living beyond metropolitan cities.

Building Quick Commerce for Bharat

Founded in January 2026 by Priyanshu Jain, Arjun Harish, and Tarithmay Mandal, BazaarNow is focused on creating a quick commerce platform specifically designed for Tier 2 and Tier 3 Indian cities.

Unlike metro-focused delivery platforms, BazaarNow offers groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, daily essentials, regional products, and local brands that match the buying habits of middle-class households across emerging markets.

The startup has already raised ₹80 crore in total funding, including its earlier pre-seed round, reflecting strong investor confidence in its business model.

Technology-Driven Local Shopping Experience

BazaarNow combines technology with localized commerce by offering AI-powered search, local-language support, assisted shopping features, and an in-house logistics network that improves delivery efficiency.

The company is focusing on transparent pricing and simple ordering instead of relying on complicated coupons, cashback offers, or wallet-based discounts. Its founders believe that consumers in smaller cities value affordability, convenience, and familiar local products more than promotional pricing strategies.

According to the startup, its pilot operations have already achieved over 1,800 orders per day per store, highlighting strong demand for fast grocery delivery services in emerging Indian markets.

Expansion Plans for the Next Growth Phase

The newly raised capital will help BazaarNow expand into nearby towns and underserved population clusters over the next six to twelve months. The company also plans to strengthen its grocery assortment, improve supply chain capabilities, and further enhance its multilingual shopping experience.

CEO Priyanshu Jain believes that quick commerce in India’s next 700 cities requires a completely different approach from metro-based ecommerce models. By focusing on local consumer behavior and regional preferences, BazaarNow aims to become a leading grocery delivery platform for Bharat.

As India’s quick commerce sector continues to evolve, BazaarNow is positioning itself to capture the massive untapped opportunity in smaller cities through technology, localization, and operational excellence.
