Harvested Robotics Secures ₹5 Crore to Revolutionize Farming with AI and Laser Technology

Harvested Robotics, a Hyderabad-based agritech startup, is pioneering the future of sustainable farming with its AI-powered laser weeding technology. Founded in 2023 by Rahul Arepaka and George Mathew, the company is addressing one of the biggest challenges in agriculture—weed management—by eliminating the need for chemical herbicides and excessive manual labor.

Traditional weed control methods rely heavily on chemical herbicides, which not only impact soil health and crop quality but also pose long-term environmental and health risks. Manual weeding, on the other hand, is labor-intensive and costly. Harvested Robotics aims to solve these issues with its AI-driven laser weeder, an advanced device designed to be mounted on tractors. The technology uses high-resolution cameras and AI models to detect unwanted weeds and eliminate them with precision-targeted laser beams. This ensures that crops remain unaffected while weeds are removed efficiently, leading to healthier soil, reduced farming costs, and increased productivity.

The startup has recently raised ₹5 crore in seed funding from Arali Ventures, with additional participation from prominent investors such as Anand Mahindra and Chakradhar Gade. With this funding, Harvested Robotics plans to accelerate product development, expand its team, and conduct large-scale pilot programs to refine its technology before scaling operations.

By combining artificial intelligence and laser technology, Harvested Robotics is reshaping modern agriculture, making farming more efficient, sustainable, and less dependent on harmful chemicals. As the demand for eco-friendly and high-yield farming solutions grows, innovations like this could play a crucial role in shaping the future of global food production.
