Three engineers—Athil Krishna, Sarath S, and Akhil K Haridasan—founded iHub Robotics with a mission to make India a global leader in AI-driven humanoid robotics. Their vision was to create cutting-edge technology that could transform industries and elevate India’s position in the robotics landscape.
They introduced Tara Gen-1, India’s most advanced semi-humanoid robot, designed to assist in healthcare, hospitality, airports, and customer service. The innovation quickly gained international recognition, leading to exports to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
With ₹4.3 crore ($520,000) pre-seed funding from U.S. investors, iHub Robotics is now building India’s largest humanoid robotics manufacturing facility in Kerala, expected to generate over 150 jobs in the next two years.
To bridge the talent gap, they launched the iHub School of Learning, aiming to train 100,000 students in AI and deep-tech skills.
Their work has been recognized by NVIDIA’s Humanoid Robotics Program, opening doors to advanced research and global collaborations.
From a startup dream to a revolutionary force, iHub Robotics is proving that India is leading the way in humanoid robotics.
