Madhuram Charitable Trust

Shraddha Soparkar’s journey with Madhuram Charitable Trust began when she saw another mother in the hospital struggling to pay for her child’s therapy. As a mother to a child with cerebral palsy, Soparkar understood the challenges that come with caring for a child with special needs. She decided to support the other mother by paying for her child’s therapy and soon began offering financial support to many more children.

With the support of her family, Madhuram Charitable Trust was born in 2019. The organization provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, corrective surgeries for joints, botox surgeries, hearing aids, and crutches to children with disabilities. In 2021, the trust launched Stepathon, which provides free prosthetic legs to underprivileged people.

Soparkar, who comes from an affluent family, felt lucky to provide her daughter with the best treatment. However, she recognized that many families do not have the financial resources to provide their children with the necessary therapy and surgeries. Madhuram Charitable Trust has sponsored therapy sessions for 800 children and corrective surgery for Ten children with disabilities. The organization’s mission is to help as many children as possible, regardless of their financial circumstances.
