Indian traveltech startup 30 Sundays has raised ₹61 crore ($6.7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, as the company looks to scale its AI-powered holiday planning platform and expand into new international markets.
The Series A round also saw participation from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures, which increased their investments in the Gurugram-based startup. The latest round takes 30 Sundays’ total funding raised to approximately $7.5 million.
The fresh capital will be used to enhance the company’s products, strengthen its AI and engineering capabilities, expand its team and increase spending on marketing and brand building.
The startup is also preparing for international expansion into Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Philippines. This comes after its recent launch of holiday services for New Zealand and Mauritius.
Founded in June 2024 by Kshitij Chaudhary and Anuj Punjani, 30 Sundays is focused on simplifying overseas holiday planning for Indian travellers. Its platform brings together destination discovery, personalised itinerary creation, bookings and support throughout the trip.
The company currently caters mainly to couples, romantic getaways and honeymoon travellers. It plans to expand its offerings to other customer segments, beginning with families travelling with children.
AI is central to the platform’s travel experience. Customers receive personalised itineraries in a video-based format and can request changes through text or voice commands, making the planning process more interactive and flexible.
30 Sundays also offers an AI concierge through its app, providing video destination guides, restaurant and shopping recommendations and chat-based assistance during holidays.
The platform gives travellers information about expected crowds, travel times, queues and food options, helping them make better decisions before and during their trips.
Beyond customer-facing features, the startup uses AI across its sales and operational workflows, including customer qualification, itinerary creation, follow-ups and reservations.
30 Sundays has reported an annualised gross booking value (GBV) run rate of around ₹200 crore across destinations such as Bali, Vietnam, the Maldives and Thailand. GBV represents the total value of bookings made through the platform and is different from revenue.
According to Bessemer Venture Partners partner Anant Vidur Puri, 30 Sundays has reimagined the traditional holiday-booking process by using AI for discovery, planning and support while combining it with human assistance when required.
30 Sundays had previously raised $770,000 in pre-seed funding in 2024, led by Info Edge Ventures, with participation from Eximius Ventures, First Cheque, Misfits Capital and other investors.
With its latest Series A funding, the startup is positioning itself to scale its technology, enter new markets and build a more personalised travel experience for Indian consumers.
