Indian elder care startup Age Care Labs has raised ₹85 crore (approximately $9 million) in its Series B1 funding round, marking a significant step in its mission to transform senior care services across India. The funding round attracted investments from Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, Pegasus Finvest, Shrem Group, and several prominent family offices.
The Series B1 round forms part of the company’s larger ₹250 crore ($30 million) Series B fundraising, which is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2027.
The fresh investment reflects growing confidence in India’s rapidly expanding elder care sector as demand for quality senior healthcare and assisted living continues to rise.
Age Care Labs plans to deploy the newly raised capital to strengthen its integrated elder care platform by expanding healthcare services, investing in advanced technology, improving operational capabilities, and accelerating nationwide expansion.
The company aims to build a seamless ecosystem that supports seniors through every stage of aging, from independent living to specialized medical care.
By leveraging digital innovation alongside personalized healthcare, the startup hopes to improve accessibility, convenience, and quality of life for India’s growing elderly population.
Age Care Labs operates through two specialized brands, Emoha and Epoch Elder Care, that together provide end-to-end elder care solutions.
Emoha offers holistic home-based services, including geriatric care, emergency assistance, regular health monitoring, hospital accompaniment, wellness programs, and community engagement for senior citizens.
Meanwhile, Epoch Elder Care focuses on assisted living and specialized healthcare services such as dementia care, rehabilitation, recovery support, palliative care, and long-term residential care for seniors requiring higher medical attention.
This integrated approach enables the company to address a wide range of healthcare and lifestyle needs for India’s aging population.
As part of the strategic partnership, Shrem Group will collaborate with Emoha to launch Shremoha, a premium senior independent living platform designed specifically for modern Indian seniors.
The initiative aims to create thoughtfully designed communities where elderly residents can enjoy independence, social engagement, safety, hospitality, and easy access to healthcare services under one ecosystem.
According to Saumyajit Roy, Co-founder and CEO of Emoha, the company’s vision is to help seniors age with dignity, independence, and happiness while creating vibrant communities that encourage active and connected lifestyles.
Shrem Group’s expertise in real estate, hospitality, and infrastructure is expected to complement Emoha’s healthcare capabilities, creating a new benchmark for senior independent living in India.
With India’s elderly population expected to increase significantly over the coming decades, demand for professional elder care, assisted living, and specialized healthcare services is rising rapidly.
Age Care Labs is positioning itself to meet this growing need by combining healthcare, technology, and community-driven living solutions into one integrated platform.
The latest funding will help the company scale its operations, introduce innovative senior care services, and strengthen its leadership in one of India’s fastest-growing healthcare segments.
