Kaapi Machines Secures ₹50 Crore from Sedna HoReCa to Accelerate Expansion

Bengaluru-based coffee equipment and services company Kaapi Machines has raised ₹50 crore from Sedna HoReCa, a private equity-backed B2B solutions provider serving the hospitality and food-service industry. The investment marks a significant step in Kaapi Machines’ plans to strengthen its operations, expand its product portfolio and build a larger presence across India’s growing HoReCa market.

Strategic Partnership to Drive Growth

Alongside the investment, Kaapi Machines and Sedna HoReCa have entered into a strategic partnership focused on expanding the company’s capabilities. The partnership will support improvements across manufacturing, technology systems, warehousing and service infrastructure.

Kaapi Machines also plans to explore selected opportunities in related product categories for its existing customer base by leveraging Sedna’s capabilities and industry expertise.

Expanding India’s Coffee Equipment Ecosystem

Founded in 2007, Kaapi Machines provides coffee equipment and services to a diverse range of customers, including café chains, quick-service restaurants, speciality coffee roasters, hotels, retailers, corporate offices and coffee-vending businesses.

Its product portfolio includes automatic and semi-automatic espresso machines, coffee grinders, commercial blenders, brewing systems and roasting equipment. The company is also an authorised distributor in India for global coffee equipment brands such as La Marzocco, Rancilio and Mahlkönig.

Beyond equipment distribution, Kaapi Machines offers café consultancy, barista training, latte-art courses, equipment installation, maintenance and after-sales services, giving it an end-to-end role in the professional coffee ecosystem.

Ambitious Revenue and Expansion Plans

The company is targeting more than ₹150 crore in revenue during FY2026-27 and plans to scale its business significantly over the next two to three years.

Kaapi Machines is led by Managing Director and CEO Abhinav Mathur, who joined the company in 2017. Commenting on the partnership, Mathur said the collaboration with Sedna marks the beginning of a new growth trajectory for the company.

He highlighted the changing HoReCa landscape and Kaapi Machines’ ambition to offer customers innovative products, technologies and solutions as the industry becomes increasingly organised.

Strengthening Its Market Position

The latest capital infusion is expected to help Kaapi Machines strengthen its infrastructure while broadening its offerings for businesses operating in India’s expanding café, hospitality and food-service sectors.

With rising demand for professional coffee equipment and specialised services, the partnership with Sedna HoReCa could position Kaapi Machines for faster growth while enabling it to serve a wider customer base across the country.
