Naturis Cosmetics Raises ₹100 Crore to Scale Manufacturing and Strengthen India’s Beauty Innovation Ecosystem

Mumbai-based Naturis Cosmetics, a leading research-driven cosmetics manufacturer, has raised ₹100 crore in its first-ever external funding round. The investment was led by Sharrp Ventures, with participation from Mirabilis Investment Trust (Infosys co-founder K. Dinesh Family Office), Anicut Capital, Niveshaay, and several prominent investors from the D2C, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemicals sectors.

The fresh capital marks a significant milestone for the company as it aims to expand its manufacturing capabilities, strengthen research and development, and support the next generation of beauty and personal care brands in India.

Strong Investor Backing for Future Growth

The funding round witnessed participation from a diverse group of strategic investors, including Suyash Saraf (Hyperscale Ventures), Yogesh Kabra, and several leading angel investors. The investment reflects growing confidence in Naturis’ business model, which combines advanced product development with large-scale manufacturing for India’s rapidly expanding beauty and personal care industry.

The company has established itself as a trusted innovation partner for several leading direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands and pharmaceutical companies, making it one of the country’s fastest-growing ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) platforms.

Expanding Manufacturing and R&D Capabilities

Naturis plans to utilize the newly raised capital to significantly expand its infrastructure and operational capabilities. A major portion of the investment will be used to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Vapi, spread across 225,000 square feet, enabling higher production capacity to meet growing customer demand.

The company will also set up a new experience centre in the National Capital Region (NCR) and launch an advanced research and development centre in Mumbai. Additionally, Naturis intends to strengthen its workforce by hiring talent across multiple business functions.

These investments are expected to accelerate product innovation while supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Powering India’s Leading Beauty Brands

Naturis Cosmetics has built a strong reputation as an innovation-led manufacturing partner for more than 50 category-leading beauty and personal care brands, including Nykaa, Pilgrim, Purplle, Kay Beauty, Colorbar, Bare Anatomy, Asaya, Hoop, and several others.

Beyond the beauty sector, the company also collaborates with pharmaceutical giants such as Glenmark and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to develop next-generation OTC healthcare and cosmeceutical products using proprietary technologies.

Over the next five years, Naturis plans to diversify into fast-growing categories, including men’s grooming, body care, fragrances, colour cosmetics, exports, and OTC pharmaceuticals, while continuing to deepen its partnerships with existing and emerging brands.

Building the Backbone of India’s Beauty Industry

Commenting on the investment, Rahul Tandon, Co-Founder and CEO of Naturis Cosmetics, said the funding validates both the company’s vision and India’s rapidly evolving manufacturing ecosystem. He emphasized that the investment will strengthen Naturis’ R&D capabilities, expand its production footprint, and enable the company to support the next generation of Indian beauty brands through innovation and quality.

Divya Gupta, Principal at Sharrp Ventures, highlighted Naturis’ deep formulation expertise, strong quality systems, and customer-first approach as key factors behind the investment. She noted that the company has positioned itself not merely as a supplier but as a long-term strategic partner for leading brands.

With fresh capital, expanded manufacturing plans, and a growing portfolio of industry-leading clients, Naturis Cosmetics is well-positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping India’s beauty, personal care, and wellness manufacturing ecosystem.
