From Farm to Future: How Pluckk Is Scaling Towards Profitability with ₹100 Crore Boost

A Fresh Funding Milestone

Mumbai-based fresh food and clean-label FMCG brand Pluckk has raised ₹100 crore in a Series A1 funding round led by Euro Gulf Investment. This latest infusion takes the company’s total funding to $26 million, reinforcing investor confidence in its growth trajectory and business model.

The funding comes at a crucial time as Pluckk aims to scale operations and achieve EBITDA profitability within the next 12 months, signaling a shift from growth-focused expansion to sustainable business performance.

Building a Digital-First Food Brand

Founded in 2021, Pluckk started as a premium farm-to-door fruits and vegetables platform. Over time, it has evolved into a comprehensive clean-label FMCG brand, offering a wide range of products including cold-pressed juices, frozen foods, snacks, and ready-to-cook meal kits.

By focusing on quality, transparency, and convenience, the company has positioned itself as a trusted brand for health-conscious consumers seeking fresh and chemical-free food options.

Strong Growth Backed by Consumer Demand

Pluckk has reported an impressive 25% year-on-year growth over the past two years, driven largely by strong repeat usage and word-of-mouth referrals. This steady growth reflects increasing consumer awareness and demand for clean-label and healthy food products in urban markets.

CEO Pratik Gupta emphasized that customer trust and product quality are at the core of the company’s success. The brand’s focus on delivering high-quality food without compromising on taste or convenience has helped it build a loyal customer base.

Expansion Plans and Technology Focus

The newly raised capital will be used to fuel multiple growth initiatives. Pluckk plans to expand its presence in offline retail, allowing it to reach a wider audience beyond digital channels. Additionally, the company is exploring international markets, signaling ambitions to take its brand global.

A significant portion of the investment will also go toward strengthening its technology infrastructure. Pluckk is focusing on AI-driven supply chain optimization and demand forecasting, which can help reduce wastage, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

A Strong Distribution Network

Currently, Pluckk operates in more than 50 cities and has integrated its offerings with six quick-commerce platforms. This omnichannel approach enables the company to cater to both planned purchases and instant delivery demands, giving it a competitive edge in the fast-evolving food and grocery market.

The Road to Profitability

With a clear focus on operational efficiency and customer retention, Pluckk is now aiming to achieve profitability within the next year. This marks a significant milestone for the startup, especially in a sector where balancing growth and profitability can be challenging.

Its journey reflects a broader trend in the startup ecosystem—where companies are increasingly prioritizing sustainable growth alongside expansion.
