From Reactive to Real-Time: Lawyered’s $2.5M Push to Build Always-On Legal Infrastructure

Transforming Legal Services with Technology

India’s legal ecosystem has long been seen as complex, reactive, and difficult to access. Lawyered is working to change that by building technology-driven solutions that make legal support faster, simpler, and more accessible. The Delhi NCR-based startup has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A round co-led by Rainmatter and Turbostart, with participation from Finvolve.

Founder-Led Vision

Founded in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, the startup is driven by a clear mission, to make legal services proactive and embedded into everyday life. Drawing from his experience at LexisNexis India, Gupta identified a major gap in how legal support is delivered: most services are reactive, expensive, and fragmented.

Building an Always-On Legal Platform

Lawyered’s core offering revolves around AI-supported tools that provide real-time legal assistance. Its flagship product, Lawyer On-The-Spot (LOTS247), connects users with legal professionals during emergencies such as road accidents, disputes, or compliance issues. This on-demand model ensures that help is available when it is needed most.

In addition, the platform offers ChallanPay, which helps users track and resolve traffic fines across India, and Highway Heroes+, a subscription-based service designed for truck drivers, offering both legal and insurance support. These products address high-frequency, real-world problems, making legal services more practical and accessible.

Scaling with AI and Innovation

With the newly raised funds, Lawyered plans to enhance its platform by strengthening product capabilities and expanding its AI features. The goal is to move beyond basic assistance and build intelligent systems that can predict, prevent, and resolve legal issues more efficiently.

The company is also focusing on user acquisition and platform scalability, aiming to serve a larger audience across multiple sectors. While it initially gained traction in mobility and logistics, it now plans to expand into industries such as finance, real estate, and healthcare.

Strong Traction and Market Validation

Lawyered’s growth so far highlights the demand for such solutions. The platform has resolved over 200,000 legal cases and supports more than two million vehicles, working with over 800 businesses across India. This traction demonstrates the scalability of its model and the relevance of its offerings.

Redefining Legal as Infrastructure

What sets Lawyered apart is its approach to legal services, not as a one-time solution, but as ongoing infrastructure. By embedding legal support into everyday workflows, the company aims to shift the industry from reactive problem-solving to proactive risk management.

The Road Ahead

As regulatory environments become more complex, the need for accessible and efficient legal solutions will only grow. Lawyered’s focus on AI, scalability, and real-world applications positions it well to lead this transformation. However, maintaining service quality while scaling will be a key challenge.
