DeHaat Honest Farms, the pesticide-free consumer food brand launched by agritech company DeHaat, has raised Rs 35 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by OTP Ventures. The latest investment will support the brand’s expansion into new markets, strengthen consumer awareness around pesticide-free food and help develop new products.
The pre-Series A round was led by OTP Ventures, with participation from Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures. The fresh capital comes as Honest Farms looks to strengthen its presence in India’s growing consumer food and healthy food market.
The company plans to use the funds to expand its geographical footprint, increase awareness of pesticide-free products and broaden its product portfolio.
Honest Farms sources its products directly from farmers within DeHaat’s agricultural network. The brand focuses on traceability and quality control, allowing consumers to track its products back to their source.
According to the company, its products undergo more than 230 quality checks before reaching customers. This quality-focused approach is central to Honest Farms’ positioning in the pesticide-free food segment.
The brand currently offers more than 100 products across staples, superfoods and everyday food categories.
Honest Farms has built a growing offline and online distribution network across India. Its products are currently available in more than 3,000 retail stores across over 120 cities.
The brand is also present through quick-commerce, e-commerce and modern trade platforms, giving consumers multiple channels to purchase its products.
With increasing consumer interest in food quality, traceability and cleaner agricultural practices, Honest Farms is looking to strengthen its position as a consumer-facing food brand.
Following the latest funding, the company has ambitious expansion plans for the next 12 to 18 months. Honest Farms aims to increase its retail presence from more than 3,000 stores to over 10,000 stores across India.
The company is also targeting an annual recurring revenue of Rs 200 crore as it scales its distribution network and product portfolio.
To support this growth, DeHaat co-founder Adarsh J Srivastava will lead Honest Farms as CEO. Srivastava had previously served as the brand’s co-founder and CEO and will now oversee its next phase of expansion.
Honest Farms is positioning itself around pesticide-free food, traceability and quality assurance. By leveraging DeHaat’s existing agricultural network, the brand aims to build a stronger connection between farmers and consumers.
The latest Rs 35 crore funding provides the company with additional resources to expand its market presence, launch new products and increase awareness of pesticide-free food choices.
As Honest Farms moves toward its 10,000-store target and Rs 200 crore ARR goal, the brand is aiming to build a larger footprint in India’s evolving consumer food and agritech ecosystem.
